my story

I have always been a maker. I started with cardboard and crayons, progressed through clay and paint. But when it came to my career the path took me away from creating to the world of business - the wine trade: what’s not to like!

However, making something tangible is a seductive thing so I embarked on training as a saddler. I learned from a master, and learned the most valuable lesson for a craftsman - attention to detail. But…life doesn’t always go to plan and I chose to see the world, get married and buy a farm.

Many cows, sheep and hens later the itch to make came back and luckily I found a master goldsmith to teach me her craft. Quality and detail are her watchwords, and they became mine. After making for myself, family and friends I wanted to offer what I do to a wider audience….

your part in my story

There is no greater joy than making something beautiful for someone else, and seeing it used, worn and loved: a future heirloom, hopefully cherished for generations. It is wonderful to work with precious metals, gold, silver and gemstones and I firmly believe that these items should not be saved for ‘best’. Gorgeous handmade things make you feel special and why not wear your favourite piece every day? Of course it’s lovely to receive a special gift of jewellery - nothing nicer - but why not treat yourself too?
